Four levels of Angel support:
Celestial: $5,000 and above
Guardian: $3,000 to $5,000
Cherub: $1,500 to $3,000
Seraph: $500 to $1,500
WV TAX CREDITS
Health Right Angels receive a 50 percent WV tax credit authorized by the state Neighborhood Investment Program Act—i.e., give $10,000 and get $5,000 back at tax time. WV Health Right donors receive a tax credit for any gift over $500. Medical, dental and pharmacy professionals also receive credit for their volunteer time. ENDOWMENT
In December 2005, the Health Right Board of Directors, in an act of good stewardship and fiduciary responsibility, established a permanent endowment for the clinic. West Virginia Health Right, while traditionally successful in its fundraising, relies on many sources of funding that could become sporadic or unreliable. An endowment can ensure that in periods of financial stress the clinic can continue to serve the health needs of its patients. Grants typically are not available for maintenance or capital needs of the organization. Our endowment is designed to ensure that the uninsured poor will have access to care through Health Right. The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation manages the funds.
