Dr. Peter Lukowski
Each year, the clinic selects one volunteer who exemplifies the spirit and mission of West Virginia Health Right. This award is always heartfelt and goes to a person who demonstrates dedication and commitment both to community and to those in need.
Our 2006 Volunteer of the Year is Dr. Peter Lukowski, the first orthopedist to volunteer at West Virginia Health Right. In 1987, he walked into the clinic, which was housed at the old McMillan Hospital) and said “How can I help?” Dr. Lukowski enters his twentieth year of volunteering. His concern and caring is felt by all patients.
