WV Health Right’s on-site pharmacy is one of the busiest in the state, filling over 500 prescriptions daily. To reduce wait time, patients must bring a prescription from their doctor or see a provider at the clinic. WV Health Right cannot fill prescriptions from other pharmacies; a new prescription is required. If a clinic vial indicates no refills, patients must schedule an appointment before their medication runs out.
WV Health Right does not carry controlled drugs, narcotics, sedatives, tranquilizers, pain medications, or sleeping pills. We do not have every medication. If patients have their own doctor but need help getting prescriptions, we can provide a list of medications available at WV Health Right. Most physicians are familiar with the drugs we stock and will choose an appropriate medication. We can fill from a written prescription or physicians may call the pharmacy direct at (304) 414-5931. WV Health Right must have up-to-date household income information to fill prescriptions. Patients cannot drop off prescriptions for pick up later. All personal information must be up-to-date. Current information may be needed before the prescription can be filled. Patients are requested to donate $3 for each prescription filled (a two month supply is dispensed for each prescription).
