Volunteers

Volunteers are the very foundation of WV Health Right. Without our “army” of 500 medical and non-medical volunteers, the clinic would be unable to serve the 18,000+ patients who find their way to us each year. Physicians, pharmacists, dentists, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, hygienists, office personnel, and others enable WV Health Right’s small paid staff to care for the growing numbers of predominately working adults who have neither health insurance nor the means to pay for health care and prescribed medications.

Multiple collaborations must exist for a free clinic the size of WV Health Right to be successful—which it is by any standard. The hundreds of volunteers who donate thousands of hours to sustain and improve the clinic’s operation all share a common goal: to give back to the community by providing quality medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and health education services for the less fortunate among us.
